Overall Rating: 8.5 Graphics: 10 Gameplay: 8 Ease of use: 8 Fun factor: 8
Graphics: If you havent read the review for Battlefield 2, I would suggest you do so now. Graphics
are exactly the same. This game was released as an expansion pack to Battlefield 2.
Gameplay: Well, its also the same gameplay with a few add ons. First there are a few additional
forces you can choose from. You can choose from the SAS, Special forces, Insurgen Special forces, or Rebels. There
are also a few new maps, and new unlocks (weapons that you can upgrade to when you make rank). And there are also flashbangs,
grappling hooks and ziplines. Although these are lots of fun to use, you might use them one or twice in a night.
I usually forget I even have them, because I am so attune to beating the enemy and they dont come in extreme use.
Ease of use: Just be sure you have Battlefield 2 installed. In the later expansion packs Ease
of use begins sucking, but at this point, you are all set, just install and update as needed. Once installed, its the
same use as Battlefield 2.
Fun Factor: Just as fun as the original, maybee a little less fun because the maps are a little less
friendly (flags are hard to find, too many sniping points, etc.) however, it has the same basic ideas with kits, weapons and
Scoring.
Overall: Well, this honestly looks like EA's way of getting more money from people. I dont play
special forces anymore, I really only play the original, or "vanilla" as my gaming clan likes to call. Although this
was fun, it dies quickly. Luckily, you dont need special forces because it is a stand alone add on to the game, so you
can choose to not play it yet still play everyone else online. This spawned EA to do something about this (updating
multiple types of a game, for instance, you had to update Battlefield 2 and Battlefield 2: Special forces to play online.)
Later, EA released two more expansion packs, Euro force (blue) and Armored Fury (orange). These are discussed in their
own reviews.
