Georges Island

Georges Island is off the coast of Boston, the whole place is swarming with activity!

Story: Georges Island used to be a checkpoint for all immigrants hoping to make it to the USA. It was also heavily fortifies against attack. There was a women there, who was hung in the grand structure. Details are hazy (im still workin on it). You are supposed to feel a presance at all times, in the winter you can see footsteps in the middle of the courtyard with no prints leading to or from it. Hearing screams at night is common as well as seeing her ghosts wander about.

My Findings: Yes, there is defintly a presance there. Although you can not stay at nite, the last ferry leaves around 7pm (unless changed). However, the hall that the lady was hung in is eerie. Its full of archs and its about a story tall, nothing impressive yet has the feel of a dungeon. There is alos a dark hall next to where she was hung that has NO light. When on a tour, you have to hold ou your right hand, and follow the wall, because you cant see the exit. After that, me and four friends went to the cemetary part of the island. Keep in mind, this islands dates far back, so the graves are in a stone structure, teh structure is one story above the ground, and in order to get bodies in there, you had to extend a board to go in through a window. When we went in there, it was scary at first, because if you could not stay on the board a 20 foot drop awaited you with no visible way out. We all made it across, and looked in each box (resembling coffins, of caorse empty, they are half burried in the ground of the structure.) We found the grave of the lady who was hung, and there was a stone in her grave, it had something engraved on it. Ironically, all our flashlights died and we could not lift the stone. So we took a flash picture of the stone, and I dont recall anything being on the picture, not even a stone. Weird, huh? I would love to go back at night, and visit the chapel, which is always haunted. At times on the island, you do feel like there is someone looking at you from a tower, or from a far away structure...and the wind will pick up on the calmest days at the weirdest times (mostly when you realize you are being watched). Activity there? Defintly, investigation is not near complete.

FOLLOW UP: Yes. I intend to visit the island a few more times and stay as late as I can. I defintly want to see that stone on the grave, and possibly with a flashlight and LOTS of time and a TEAM, investigate the rest of the pitch black tunnels.
